How to design a patient-specific cranial plate

In 3-matic, it’s easy to design a cranial plate directly on the patient’s anatomy. The fast and flexible, semi-automated design tools allow you to design patient-specific cranioplasty prostheses with an even or variable thickness, and this with a repeatable process. Let me show you how such a plate can be created in only a few steps.

For the purpose of this video presentation, the Research Edition of 3-matic was used. The video explains only the workflow of designing an anatomical model irrespective to the use of the model. Following this design workflow medical patient-specific models can be designed in the Medical edition of 3-matic, and customized research models can be designed in the Research Edition of 3-matic.
