Instructions

Loading the part:

  • Load the part and select the refresh icon (two circular arrows) to check for errors in the Diagnostics menu located in the narrow pane on the right
  • Click on the Lattice ribbon at the top of the screen and select Honeycomb Lattice

Choosing a local honeycomb structure:

  • A local honeycomb structure is only created around the marked triangles
  • Choose LOCAL in the Honeycomb Lattice pop-up box

Choosing a global honeycomb structure:

  • A global honeycomb structure applies to the entire part
  • Choose GLOBAL in the Honeycomb Lattice pop-up box

Defining your parameters:

  • Adjust parameters such as Wall thickness, Hole diameter, Infill thickness, and cell spacing to meet your specific requirements
  • Select 'Make shell parts with marked face(s) removed' to indicate whether you want a part to be open in certain areas
  • Select 'Make smooth honeycomb' to create rounded corners in the honeycomb cells
  • Click OK to confirm your parameters and apply the honeycomb to the part

Filtering small voids:

  • Select 'Filter partial honeycomb' to ensure that incomplete honeycomb cells on the edges of your part are not generated
