How to Upload and Share Cases in Materialise Mimics Flow

Explore the functionalities of the Materialise Mimics platform, including uploading and sharing files, automatically segmenting your case, and creating preset views in the 3D viewer.
Instructions
Saving a project to Mimics Flow:
- In Mimics Core, click on the File menu, then New Project to load your DICOM files via the Import Wizard.
- Log in to your Mimics Flow account via the Log in button at the top right of the window.
- Save your case online by clicking File — Save As — Save current project to Mimics Flow.
- Choose to either create a new case or save the file to an existing one. If creating a new case, enter a title and additional details, such as the requester, ensuring you do not include sensitive information per your internal regulations.
- Track the upload progress in the Mimics Flow Agent, accessible via the blue icon with arrows at the top right of the window.
- Once the upload is complete, it will appear in the Archive tab of the Mimics Flow Agent.
Automating segmentation:
- Click on Mimics Flow at the top right of your window and select Request Segmentation.
- Select the algorithm that matches your anatomy of interest.
- Follow the status in the Mimics Flow Agent.
- Once complete, click Sync and Open in the Mimics Flow Agent to merge the automatically segmented data back into your original Mimics Core file.
Sharing a case:
- Click on Mimics Flow at the top right of your window and select Share.
- Enter your colleague's email address.
- Select the access type to grant, choosing between Viewing, Reviewing, Editing, or Editing and Sharing.
- Click Share Case to send an email notification with a direct link to the recipient.
- By clicking this link, your colleague will be directed to the Mimics Flow webpages. After logging in, they'll see this case in Mimics Viewer.
Reviewing cases in Mimics Viewer:
- Adjust the view of the images and model to your desired preset view. Adjust the transparency, measurements, or cross sections so the reviewer doesn't have to manually toggle these modes.
- Click the + icon next to the Default View panel.
- Assign the view a name.
- Click VR Mode to view the plan in extended reality.
