November 20, 2025

Dual listing on Euronext Brussels and Nasdaq strengthens Materialise’s connection to American and European investors

Leuven, Belgium, November 20, 2025 — Materialise NV (Euronext & Nasdaq: MTLS), a global leader in advanced medical and industrial 3D applications and 3D printing software, rang the opening bell this morning at Euronext Brussels. With this step, Materialise adds a European listing to its existing listing on Nasdaq. The bell was rung by Carla Van Steenbergen, Director of Corporate Affairs. Materialise was founded in 1990 in Leuven by Fried Vancraen and his wife, Hilde Ingelaere.

The dual listing provides Materialise with access to a broader investor audience in Europe and increases the company’s operational flexibility, including the option to initiate ADS and/or share buyback programs. The company’s Nasdaq listing remains integral to the company’s global strategy. No shares will be offered, and no capital will be raised in connection with the listing of the company’s shares on Euronext Brussels. On Euronext Brussels, Materialise will trade under the same ticker symbol, ‘MTLS’, as on Nasdaq.

"This second stock exchange listing lays a solid foundation for our continued growth," said Brigitte de Vet, CEO of Materialise. "We want to make personalized care accessible to more patients and further strengthen our impact in demanding sectors such as healthcare, aerospace, and defense."

From pioneer to global leader

Since 1990, Materialise has been a leading innovator in the 3D printing industry, with a global reputation in advanced medical applications. Headquartered in Leuven, Belgium, the company develops sophisticated software to manage and optimize the 3D printing process and provides printing services for highly certified industries such as healthcare, aerospace, and defense.

With more than 2,500 employees in 21 countries, Materialise combines engineering expertise with a clear mission: to make personalized healthcare accessible to as many people as possible, while delivering innovative solutions for the most demanding industries.

"When Hilde and I founded Materialise 35 years ago, we had a clear mission: to use technology to create a better and healthier world," said Fried Vancraen, co‑founder of Materialise. "That mission remains unchanged. We are proud of what our team has accomplished — from groundbreaking innovations in 3D printing to a leading position in medical and industrial applications where this technology has a lasting impact and helps build a healthier future for people around the world."

3D printing — from prototyping to production

3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing, is a digital production process in which objects are built layer by layer from a digital design. This technology offers key advantages: extensive design freedom, lightweight yet strong structures, reduced material waste, and the ability to mass‑customize products.

Where 3D printing was once mainly used for prototyping, today the technology is increasingly deployed for the serial production of end‑use parts — including in highly regulated, demanding sectors such as healthcare, aerospace, and defense. The growing need for customization, particularly in the medical field, has made 3D printing a key enabler in making personalized care accessible, efficient, and affordable.
