Expert Structural Heart  Planning with True 3D Clarity

Successful structural heart interventions require innovation to navigate the high risks and complexity.

Unprecedented insights are revealed when using 3D planning to create pre- procedural plans. The adoption of 3D planning in the modern medical setting  is inevitable.

Bring clarity to complexity by using Mimics Enlight’s automated 3D workflow.  More accurate planning leads to improved patient outcomes.

2D vs 3D Planning

Although volume rendering gives the impression of working in 3D, measurements are taken on the 2D projection of the model. When using accurate 3D models, measurements snap to the model — allowing evaluation in all three dimensions.

Volume rendering is limited to 2D planning with 3D visualization while true 3D planning uses accurate 3D models to enable automated analysis and enhanced spatial insights.

Why use Mimics Enlight?

What our users say

“I would definitely encourage clinicians to try 3D planning, because it will open up a new world of planning. And I am quite sure that they will appreciate the insights that it provides and the fact that it is beyond complimentary to what they're used to. It really has added value to procedural planning in terms of patient selection, strategy selection, and procedural execution.”

Nicolas Van Mieghem, MD, PhD, FESC

Full Professor of Interventional Cardiology

Medical Director of the Department of Interventional Cardiology

Erasmus UMC, Rotterdam, The Netherlands

“3D is appealing because it's more like reality than 2D. When looking to understand and operate in the heart, the closer you get to 3D, the less visible the seam is between technology and the real anatomy, and the more immersive the experience. So, in a way 3D is more traditional because it more accurately reflects our everyday experience of interacting with the world.”

Thomas Modine, MD, PhD, MBA

Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeon

CHRU de Lille, Lille, France

“Only when I switched to 3D printing did I realize what I was missing out on before. The first case I did was a true ‘Aha!’ moment where I gained much more insight into my patient’s anatomy. Virtual 3D planning is the next step in the innovation evolution where I can gain the same insight, without printing. This understanding has truly given me more confidence in my pre-procedural plan.”
