What you will do

Lead your team towards operational success daily: 

  • Ensure an optimal task distribution — aligning with other team leads if necessary 
  • Ensure proper cross-training and qualification of all personnel 
  • Ensure processes are followed and documented as described — you are responsible for the quality of the delivered products 
  • Act as the go-to person and provide first-line support with a hands-on mentality based on training in executing operational tasks 
  • Follow up on KPIs  
  • Work in two shifts (6 am – 2 pm & 2 pm – 10 pm)

Motivate your team: 

  • You are a good communicator, giving feedback continuously, both positive and constructive improvement points 
  • Follow up on team performance and help them achieve their highest potential 
  • Create a positive, constructive atmosphere, while having the capability to uphold agreed-upon standards
  • You are a good listener and understand both the needs of the people and the company 
     

Ensure clear communication: 

  • Communicate daily during the shift handover to other team leads 
  • Share updates or changes in the process in weekly team meetings with the entire operational team
  • Act as the spokesperson of your team in weekly operational meetings to drive continuous improvement and discuss operational challenges

Your profile

  • 5 – 7+ years in a manufacturing or production environment  
  • Prior experience in team supervision  
  • Familiarity with production planning, scheduling, and manufacturing principles  
  • Able to act under time pressure or in stressful situations 
  • PC skills: MS Office, Outlook, and open to learn new software programs

Technical skills:    

  • Production processes: understanding of manufacturing workflow and quality standards 
  • Health and safety compliance  

Leadership and management:  

  • Team supervision, conflict resolution, time management, training and development  
  • Able to take responsibility and ownership and make decisions 

Soft skills: 

  • A good team player and a great communicator 
  • Hands-on, practical attitude, solution-oriented and continuous improvement mindset 
  • Disciplined in procedural follow-up, quality and customer-oriented mindset 
  • Proficient in Dutch and English
