Software Test Engineer (Manual)
As part of this team, you’ll collaborate closely with customers and cross-functional teams to design and execute effective testing strategies for Python-related products. Your contributions will ensure the delivery of high-quality, innovative software solutions tailored to customer needs.
What you will do
- Collaborate closely with the cross-functional team to understand customer requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage
- Perform manual testing of custom plugins, including functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing based on specific customer requirements
- Design and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test reports tailored to individual projects and user needs
- Develop and execute basic test scripts using Python to complement manual testing efforts
- Analyze test results to identify defects, bugs, and performance issues, and provide clear feedback to developers and stakeholders
- Ensure thorough documentation of test cases, test results, and customer feedback for traceability and compliance purposes
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and methodologies within the team
Your profile
- At least a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering (biomedical, mechanical, or related), biomedical sciences, industrial design, or a related field
- Experienced in manual software testing, with at least 3 years of experience
- Knowledgeable in software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices
- Skilled in analyzing complex issues, troubleshooting, and identifying root causes
- Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies or Scaled Agile Framework and experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
- Strong in interpersonal and communication skills, capable of interacting professionally with customers and internal teams
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Plus points
- Proficient in Python for basic automation tasks
- Familiar with version control systems like Git and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Experience working with products in R&D, medical, or CAD/3D printing industry-related fields
- Familiarity with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)
- Knowledge of generative AI (GenAI) technologies
- Software testing-related certification (e.g., ISTQB, Agile Testing, or equivalent)
