Senior Software Test Engineer

What you will do
- Work closely with product management and the software development team to deeply understand project goals and testing requirements
- Contribute to the planning and execution of comprehensive testing strategies throughout the project lifecycle
- Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize testing processes, ensuring the delivery of top-notch software by catching critical bugs
- Execute verification tasks, including the creation of test cases, reporting, and generating documentation necessary to meet regulatory and quality standards
- Perform both automated and manual testing to ensure thorough validation of software
- Ensure all testing procedures adhere strictly to established quality standards
- Proactively monitor, investigate, and respond promptly to issues reported by business units or customers
- Mentor junior staff
Your profile
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in automation testing using scripting, with a total of 5 years of experience in testing
- Proven experience coaching junior colleagues
- Solid experience with Agile testing methodologies
- Strong knowledge of software quality assurance principles and hands-on experience with scripting languages (Python preferred, but others are acceptable)
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
- Strong command of English, with excellent soft skills to drive the team
- Mature personality
Desirable qualifications:
- ISTQB certification
- Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS)
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Prior experience in ISO/FDA/AAMI-regulated environments
