Sales Engineer — Team Leader
As an experienced Team Leader, you lead a team of sales engineers and customer support officers responsible for the technical guidance of our customers in the creation and follow-up of 3D-printed prototypes. In addition to leading the team on a daily basis, you also have an active role in the team, supporting our prototyping customers.
What you will do
Sales engineer tasks:
- Convince and advise industrial customers on the most proper and tailored 3D printing solution for their request
- Communicate and collaborate with different colleagues from customer support, design, production, and account management to successfully bring projects to the finish line
- Follow up on your projects closely and keep in touch with the clients during the entire sales process cycle
- As a technical salesperson, you like thinking out of the box in order to find the best technical and commercial solution
Team leader tasks:
- Support a team of sales engineers and customer support officers in their daily activities, including guiding the customers through the product and material choices, making adequate price proposals for 3D printing, following up on the projects closely, and keeping in touch with the client
- Inspire and motivate your team members to reach the set targets and follow the processes
- Coach and lead the sales engineers and customer support officers to guarantee maximum internal and external client satisfaction
- Proactively spot opportunities or problems, and implement solutions in
cooperation with the internal stakeholders - Represent the team internally to create ideal cooperation within the team and all other departments, such as production, engineering, and marketing
Your profile
- At least 3 – 5 years of experience in (inside) sales and a minimum of 1 – 2 years of experience in a team leader role (direct or functional management)
- You have excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Demonstrable experience in a solution-based sales approach is desirable
- Willingness to exceed our customers’ expectations
- Eager to work in interdisciplinary teams
- Working proficiency in English is a must
- You work in an organized, punctual way and have high attention to detail
- You act in a flexible matter, prioritizing your work depending on the business's needs
- You are enthusiastic, dedicated, and driven by collaborating with colleagues and customers
