Sales Engineer — Manufacturing
As a Sales Engineer for Additive Services at Materialise, you will bridge the gap between technical expertise and customer needs in the rapidly evolving world of 3D printing and additive manufacturing. You will play a key role in identifying client requirements, presenting tailored solutions, and supporting the successful delivery of advanced 3D printing services. Combining technical knowledge with strong communication skills, you will help customers unlock the potential of additive manufacturing to improve their products, processes, and competitiveness.
Job description
In this role, you will collaborate with customers, engineering teams, and service delivery specialists to design innovative, high-value solutions that align with Materialise’s mission of creating a better and healthier world through meaningful applications of 3D printing.
What you will do
- Engage with prospects and existing clients to understand their technical and business needs
- Provide expert advice on Materialise’s additive manufacturing capabilities, processes, and service offerings
- Translate customer requirements into feasible technical solutions and proposals
- Support the sales cycle from initial contact through quotation, project handover, and follow-up
- Work collaboratively with internal engineering and production teams to ensure successful project execution
Your profile
- Degree in engineering, materials science, mechanical design, or a related field
- Strong understanding of additive manufacturing technologies and applications
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Proven experience in technical sales or customer-facing engineering roles
- Able to translate complex technical concepts into clear customer benefits
