Research Engineer
We're seeking a highly motivated researcher to work in an environment full of innovative technology and surrounded by people passionate about their work. As a Research Engineer, you will have the opportunity to support the development of a new generation of patient-specific preoperative planning tools. What you will do
- Stay up to date on the state-of-the-art in foundation models for medical imaging
- Analyze requirements to come up with a creative solution to solve the problem
- Implement, train, and optimize algorithms for medical image processing
- Validate algorithm performance, document project progress, and report the results to stakeholders
- Work with development teams to deploy algorithms
Your profile
- Applicants should have a PhD in engineering (biomedical, mathematical, or electrical engineering, computer sciences) or a master’s with medical imaging experience
- Passionate about innovation in medical applications with a strong interest in state-of-the-art technologies
- Result-oriented and a team player, driven to contribute to the success of our products by collaborating with colleagues from around the world
- A born problem solver with strong analytical skills who easily adapts to change is able to work independently with a proactive yet critical mindset
- An experienced Python programmer
- 3 years of industrial or academic experience in machine learning and deep learning or a finalized PhD
- Strong mathematical background in statistics and machine learning
- Knowledge of Tensorflow or PyTorch
- Familiar with cloud services such as AWS or Azure
- Knowledge of Agile development is a plus
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
- Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus
- Experience with medical image segmentation is considered a strong plus
