Medical Business Developer


For our Medical Unit, we are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Developer to spearhead our expansion efforts into new territories, specifically Eastern Europe and the Middle East. This role requires a keen understanding of the healthcare industry, particularly in the realm of medical software solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales, a proven ability to establish and nurture client relationships, and a passion for driving growth in untapped markets. Our Medical Business Developer can work from our HQ office (Leuven, Belgium) or one of our other locations (Barcelona, Paris, Poland, …)

What you will do

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify key players, market trends, and the competitive landscape in Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
  • Analyze market data to develop targeted sales strategies and identify potential business opportunities.
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to penetrate new markets and expand our client base.
  • Identify and prioritize potential clients and partners within the healthcare industry, including hospitals, clinics, and medical institutions.
  • Initiate contact with prospective clients through various channels, including cold calling, networking events, and industry conferences.
  • Drive the entire sales cycle from initial contact to contract negotiation and closure. Meeting and exceeding sales targets/revenue goals is what really motivates you.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their unique needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product development to ensure client satisfaction and drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of cultural nuances within the assigned territories.
  • You will travel to assigned territories (+- 30%) as needed to meet with clients, attend meetings, and participate in industry events.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the healthcare or medical software industry.
  • Proven track record of success in driving sales growth and expanding into new markets.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and build rapport.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing business opportunities.
  • Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in additional languages spoken in Eastern Europe and the Middle East is a plus.
