Are you passionate about improving patient access to innovative cardiac care? At Materialise, you’ll help hospitals successfully implement AI-driven pre-procedural planning solutions while shaping US reimbursement strategies for an emerging category in structural heart care.

Job description

Materialise is transforming the way structural heart teams plan and deliver care. Our advanced AI-driven 3D digital solutions support precision pre-procedural planning for interventions such as TAVR, TTVR, TMVR, and LAAO. By integrating seamlessly into hospital workflows, we help clinicians improve outcomes, streamline decision-making, and expand patient access to life-saving therapies. In this role, you will bridge clinical innovation, hospital operations, and payer reimbursement. You will combine hands-on hospital implementation support with the development and execution of U.S. market access and reimbursement strategies for digital pre-procedural planning solutions.

What you will do

Hospital implementation and support

  • Partner with hospitals and structural heart teams to integrate pre-procedural planning workflows within Epic or other EHR systems, ensuring interoperability and clinical efficiency
  • Support pre-authorization and reimbursement workflows, including documentation templates, medical necessity letters, and payer submissions
  • Conduct onsite or virtual training for hospital billing, coding, and case management teams
  • Act as the primary point of contact for operational launch readiness, ensuring smooth adoption and long-term utilization of our solutions

Market access and reimbursement

  • Develop and execute US reimbursement guidelines for pre-procedural planning and digital imaging solutions in structural heart interventions
  • Identify and establish appropriate coding (CPT/HCPCS), coverage, and payment pathways
  • Collaborate with payers, professional societies, and advocacy groups to support equitable patient access
  • Support the development of health economics and outcomes evidence to strengthen value messaging and payer discussions

Cross-functional collaboration

  • Work closely with product, clinical, and sales teams to translate market access insights into product strategy and hospital support programs
  • Contribute to the mid- and long-term reimbursement roadmap, including new code applications, policy engagement, and economic modeling
  • Monitor changes in CMS and commercial payer policies impacting digital planning and structural heart procedures
  • Collect and analyze information on code usage and payment rates for relevant reimbursement pathways
  • Partner with internal teams to develop training materials, reimbursement toolkits, and payer education resources

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in health economics, healthcare administration, nursing, public health, or a related field (required)
  • Master’s degree (MHA, MPH, MBA) preferred
  • 5 – 10+ years of experience in market access, reimbursement, or hospital implementation within medical devices, structural heart, cardiovascular imaging, or digital health
  • Hands-on experience with Epic (or Cerner/Meditech) integration, pre-authorization processes, and hospital workflow optimization
  • Strong understanding of CPT/HCPCS coding, coverage determination, and payer policy development
  • Background in cardiology or interventional cardiology is strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills with both clinical and administrative stakeholders
