Job description

Materialise USA is seeking an IT System Administrator to join our Plymouth, MI office. In this role, you will play a critical role in supporting our growing team and ensuring the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure. What you will do

User support:

  • Provide first-line support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, connectivity, and security issues
  • Manage user onboarding and assist with in-house application support
  • Maintain IT inventory and track changes, ensuring accurate monthly accounting

System administration:

  • Administer Office365/Exchange, Azure/Active Directory, and related services
  • Support SCCM and Intune (preferred)
  • Manage corporate phone systems (Cisco UC preferred) and other communication tools

Hardware and infrastructure management: 

  • Maintain and deploy PCs, peripherals, and replacement parts
  • Manage printers, supplies, and contracts
  • Handle staging, maintenance, and expansion of network infrastructure (cabling, switches, ISP)

Production support: 

  • Provide IT support for production computers and network infrastructure to ensure continuous equipment operation

Additional responsibilities: 

  • Manage cell phone, access, and alarm systems
  • Collaborate closely with Global Support and IT Operations teams to ensure adherence to corporate initiatives

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field (preferred) with a minimum of 2 years of IT support experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, and work independently or in a team environment
  • Experience in regulated environments (e.g., SOX, medical) is a plus
  • Customer-service oriented with conflict resolution skills and a positive attitude
  • Flexible availability to address critical issues as needed
  • Knowledge of: 
    • Network administration, including user account management and troubleshooting
    • Windows (10 and 11), Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, and Windows servers
    • Basic ITIL principles 
    • Cabling and hardware best practices
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle IT equipment
