HR Operations Specialist — Malaysia

Do you enjoy collaborating with international teams and taking the lead on projects with energy and enthusiasm? If so, we are looking for you to join our HR team for the APAC region! 

What you will do

  • Manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including contract preparation, onboarding, training, and offboarding
  • Oversee payroll management and ensure accuracy for Malaysia's in-house payroll and liaise with payroll agencies for China, Korea, and Australia 
  • Maintain records and ensure data accuracy in the Workday system (e.g., employee records, absences, etc.)
  • Handle work permit applications and renewals
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries on house rules, office policies, Workday, compensation and benefits, personnel data, and work permits
  • Manage learning platforms, handle HRDC submissions, coordinate training registrations and schedules, and track progress
  • Organize inclusive team and social events to foster collaboration and engagement
  • Maintain a healthy and secure work environment
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regularly update organizational policies

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, HR, social studies, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in HR roles
  • Experience with payroll is a must
  • Strong knowledge of HR functions, including benefits, recruitment, and training and development
  • Solid understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Office (experience with HRIS systems such as Workday is a plus)
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a diverse and multinational environment
  • Experience working in collaborative, consent-based decision-making environments
