Mergers and Acquisitions/Corporate Development Manager

We are looking for a talented and motivated professional to join our team as a Mergers and Acquisitions/Corporate Development Manager. In this position, you will play a crucial role in the development, execution, and success of our mergers and acquisitions as well as corporate development objectives. You will build organizational partnerships and strategic alliances with third parties and drive corporate M&A projects. You will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with the CEO, senior-level decision-makers, and select board members.

This role is for an out-of-the-box thinker and doer with proven success. A leader with world-class business acumen, a demonstrated track record of successfully developing and negotiating sizable deals in the field, preferably, and a leader eager to make the move to a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and innovative company with a global reach and an ambition to accelerate growth.

What you will do

  • Drive the corporate development and M&A strategy in close collaboration with the CEO and the Executive Committee.
  • Proactively identify potential M&A opportunities and opportunities for strategic alliances aligned with the company's strategic objectives and growth targets.
  • Conduct thorough market research, industry analysis, and target company evaluations to assess their fit and potential impact on the business.
  • Proactively network in the industry to build and maintain a network of valuable contacts for external alliances and M&A opportunities.
  • Drive the full transaction execution process of M&A projects, the coordination of due diligence phases, and act as the main contact person.
  • Conduct due diligence processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams including finance, legal, operations, and technical experts in order to assess the financial health and risks of target companies.
  • Develop valuation models in order to determine the appropriate valuation.
  • Develop negotiation strategies and tactics to secure favorable deal terms while maintaining strong relationships with target companies and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with legal and financial advisors to structure transactions and draft agreements that mitigate risks and maximize value creation.
  • Oversee the integration process on a case-by-case basis, which involves combining the operations, systems, and cultures of the companies.
  • Develop integration plans in collaboration with relevant stakeholders to ensure a smooth post-merger integration and realization of synergies.
  • Lead integration efforts, overseeing cross-functional teams to execute integration plans effectively and achieve targeted outcomes.

Your profile

  • Proven experience in the field of mergers and acquisitions (min. 3 years) and experience with strategic alliances. At least 10 years of work experience.
  • Strong financial background. Qualifications such as CPA and CFA are a plus.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive and results-oriented mindset, capable of driving initiatives from conception to execution. Strong business acumen and project management skills. Experience in strategy consulting is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and stimulating environment.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Experience in the AM or manufacturing sector is a plus
