Materialise, a leader in 3D printing for medical and industrial markets, is seeking a Channel Manager for the orthopaedics market to drive distributor sales in new territories. You'll lead US market entry for our aMace custom hip implant and grow high-potential EMEA markets for both hip and shoulder solutions. We're looking for a commercially driven professional with experience in medical devices and channel development.

Job description

This role will focus on developing and managing distributor sales channels across new territories, complementing the efforts of our direct sales teams in BeNe, DACH, UK, France, and the Nordics. The primary objective will be enabling market access in the United States through distributors for the aMace custom hip implant. A secondary target is to identify, prioritize, and enter additional high-potential new markets for the aMace custom hip implant and Glenius custom shoulder implant in the EMEA region. 

What you will do

  • Conduct market analysis to identify and prioritize territories for distributor engagement
  • Recruit, develop, and maintain partnerships with new distributors; assume management of certain existing distributors where applicable
  • Negotiate commercial agreements with distributors, ensuring mutually beneficial terms
  • Collaborate with internal marketing teams to onboard and educate new distributors and implement channel-specific marketing initiatives and campaigns
  • Provide input on pricing strategies tailored to market conditions and distributor portfolio requirements
  • Act as the single point of contact for distribution partners, fostering long-term, trust-based relationships
  • Ensure alignment with Materialise’s mission and quality standards in all channel activities

Your profile

  • At least 5 years of experience in sales and/or channel management in the medical device industry 
  • Strong track record in orthopaedic reconstruction sales is highly preferred; understanding of market players in hip and shoulder reconstruction is an asset
  • Proven ability to build and maintain successful distributor relationships in diverse markets
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in other European languages is an advantage
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong relationship-building capabilities
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required for market development activities
  • The candidate must be based within a reasonable commuting distance of an international airport
