Business Development Manager
As a Business Developer/Account Manager at our Japanese office near Yokohama station, you'll lead our efforts in serving ACTech clients in Japan.
What you will do
- Build and maintain customer relationships and be responsible for direct sales across industries in Japan, particularly those requiring intricate casting prototype parts under time constraints
- Develop your own client list, elevate ACTech's brand in the Japanese market, organize and attend trade shows and conferences, and closely collaborate with our team in Freiberg, Germany
- Your role is pivotal in building ACTech's presence and influence in Japan. You'll understand client needs, present customized offers under tight deadlines, and foster long-term partnerships. Leveraging your sales experience and market knowledge, you'll identify opportunities and drive new business ventures.
- Working closely with our head office team, you will ensure customer satisfaction, drive innovation, and expand and consolidate ACTech's position as the leading prototype foundry in Japan
- It is no problem for you to come to the ACTech headquarters in Germany for a few weeks to familiarize yourself with the job, our technologies, and prototypes
- Work directly with and report to ACTech headquarters in Germany while being physically located in the office of Materialise Japan in Yokohama
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field
- Prior experience in the passenger car, agricultural, or construction vehicle industry is highly desirable
- Familiarity with Japanese market trends and business practices
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
- Proven experience in sales and/or business development, preferably in the technology sector
- General understanding of additive manufacturing and foundry technologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in both English (TOEIC 800 and above) and Japanese (native level)
- Ability to cultivate and nurture client relationships, driving sales growth and fostering long-term partnerships
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment
