About Ir. Awaz Ali
Awaz Ali works as a PhD researcher at Delft University of Technology. She has a background in Biomedical Engineering, having received her B.Sc. at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands in 2011, and an Erasmus Mundus M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Ghent in Belgium in 2012, as well as at RWTH Aachen University in Germany in 2013. Due to her major interest in cardiovascular engineering and design, she started doing research on the optimization of vascular stents, the design of trans-catheter heart valves, and prediction of thrombus in ventricular assist devices during her master. She started her PhD at Delft University of Technology in 2014, focusing on the design of a novel catheter type for complex cardiac interventions.
