Effortless Text Labeling for 3D-Printed Parts in Magics

Define rectangular text area:

• Align the component as desired and open Edit Mode in the ribbon at the top of the screen
• Select the Label function (an icon with a cube and the letter A)
• Choose the Rectangular label option in the text section pop-up box
• Set two points to define the area for your text
  

Specify text content:

• Enter your text in the text field displayed in the Label pop-up box
  

Set text appearance:

• Choose the Font and Text size
• Select the alignment of the letters within the defined area
• Determine the Text height
• Select whether the text should be embossed or engraved (the two icons next to the Label height field)
  

Insert text into the defined area:

• Click the Apply button to add the text to the part
  

Define circular text area:

• Select three points on any circle in your part to define the first boundary circle
• Generate a second boundary circle parallel to the first one: move your cursor up or down to define the width
• Set the start and end points of the text area by selecting two points
  

Specify text content:

• Type your text in the text field displayed in the Label pop-up box
  

Set text appearance:

• Adjust the Font and Font size
• Select the alignment of the letters within the defined area
• Decide on the Height and whether the text is raised or engraved (the two icons next to the Label height field)
  

Insert text into the defined area:

• Click the Apply button to permanently add the text to the part
  

Text in planning phase:

• Define the text using the previously described steps
• Close the function without clicking the Apply button
• Review the planned text; it will have a visible frame around it
  

Finalize planned text:

• Open the Label function
• Click on the frame shown on the part to activate the text
• Apply any necessary changes to the text
• Click the Apply button to finalize and add the text to the part
