With this collaboration, CAMWorksR software from HCL will be Powered by Materialise AM technology to facilitate the production of metal parts, combining the benefits of AM freedom of design with the speed and accuracy of CNC machining. The partnership also represents the first initiative to provide an integrated CAD/CAM solution for hybrid manufacturing in a SOLIDWORKSR environment. This new technology is expected to be available for release later this year.

Materialise and Simufact Engineering GmbH, a leading provider of Metal AM process simulation software, announced an OEM license agreement. This collaboration will allow Materialise Magics users to better control the pre-build process by applying Simufact simulation within their familiar data preparation environment. In addition, the support structures in the Simufact Additive software will be represented with Materialise Magics features.
Materialise is the first company to offer software that automatically generates support structures for metal AM parts. This patented innovation will allow users to drive down costs for Metal 3D Printing, as well as save significant amounts of time.
