Masks are a medium for people to use their imagination to symbolize their inner worlds. 3D Printing lets artists break design boundaries and print what is impossible to create in traditional manufacturing. By bringing masks and 3D Printing together together, endless possibilities emerge.
Materialise is looking for software and research engineers! Could you fill one of these positions? An integral part of 3D Printing is having good software. Materialise prides itself on its products like Magics, Mimics and 3-matic and is always improving on these products. If you are a software engineer or application developer, and particularly enjoy developing in C++, you may be interested in a career at Materialise.
The most exciting show for the Materialise USA software team is RAPID. This 25-year-old show is known as the authority when it comes to 3D Printing, scanning and Additive Manufacturing. And lucky for us, this year it was in Detroit, which is only about a 30 minute drive from our office.
Nick Ervinck’s art can be seen all around Belgium. If you’ve passed through Roeselare, you might have seen his artwork on the side of the Maselis grain factory. If you live in Leuven, you may have seen his exhibition at the M Museum. While walking on the beach, you might have passed by some of his sculptures in Bredene.
I’ve arrived safe and sound in Detroit, Motor City, Michigan. But what I hear tonight was not the rev of an engine, but rather the sound of 3D-printed cars passing through slots on a race track. Yes, I came to see the Slot Car Championship at RAPID 2014.
The sunny Friday afternoon of June 6th was the perfect setting for a casual gathering of our 3D Printing fans! Since i.materalise is an online 3D printing service provider, we don’t get to see our customers, 3D Printing enthusiasts, makers and designers in person everyday; that is why we’re particularly excited every time we host a meet-up. Feeling your passion for 3D Printing is definitely what motivates us to achieve excellence in our service. A big thank you goes out to all the attendees who visited our headquarters!
