Materialise e-Stage for Metal is the only software in the world that automates support generation for titanium, stainless steel and aluminum parts. Hannes Brenning, Process Engineer at our metal competence center in Bremen, Germany, was one of the first to try out this revolutionary software.
Materialise recently announced their partnership with Korean 3D printer manufacturer Carima. They will bundle Materialise Magics Print software for their line of Digital Light Processing printers. This flexible software allows 3D printer manufacturers to offer data preparation solutions to their customers, making it possible to repair files and prepare them for printing in a much simpler and more efficient way.
American multinational GE was a co-exhibitor at the Materialise booth at Formnext this year. Their 3D-printed fuel nozzle has become a famous example of the huge impact of 3D Printing. In the past, the nozzle was made up of 20 different parts that were then painstakingly brazed and welded together. Now it is printed in one piece, 25% lighter and five times stronger. With the Materialise backbone of software solutions, GE was able to increase the production of the fuel nozzle in an efficient and controlled way.
Formnext is an innovative and international exhibition platform for additive technologies, tool-making, and other sectors of product development and manufacturing. The different booths showcase what’s going on in this weird and wonderful world where innovation is a way of life. Mr. Geunsik Choi, CEO of Lincsolution, Korea, visited formnext in Germany and the Materialise headquarters in Belgium in one week. We took the opportunity to capture his first impressions.
Formnext, the meeting point for the 3D printing industry and enthusiasts, was a great place to walk around and see what’s going on in this weird and wonderful world where innovation is a way of life. At the Materialise booth, we were proud and happy to meet a constant stream of visitors curious to see what we’ve been up to and plan to be up to. For anyone who missed the chance to drop by our booth at formnext at the Frankfurt Messe this year, a few highlights from our week!
This week, lots of market leaders in the 3D printing industry gathered at formnext to showcase the latest 3D printing machines, software, materials and more. It was a great occasion for interesting encounters and insights into what 3D Printing can offer. We were there too, to launch the next release of our data preparation software Magics!
Of course we don’t expect you to come just because it’s the place to be for Additive Manufacturing enthusiasts. No, we’re giving you five reasons on top of that to come visit Booth E11, Hall 3.1 at formnext 2015, the 3D printing industry’s massive trade fair which begins in Frankfurt next week.
