The foremost business and finance magazine published in Belgium, Trends hosts the Trends Gazellen award every year to celebrate the fastest growing Belgian companies per region. Materialise won the award for Flemish Brabant, making us a Trends Gazellen Ambassador for a year!
The Entrepreneurs for Entrepreneurs association in Belgium is an initiative led by – the name gives it away – entrepreneurs, who wish to stimulate business and sustainable growth in countries with developing economies. African Drive, a charitable enterprise supported by Materialise, had the honor of receiving the Entrepreneurs for Entrepreneurs Trophy last week!
The Trophée PME Bougeons-Nous was created six years ago to reward local small and medium enterprises in France for their innovation, enthusiasm and energy. Last week Aoyama Optical France, one of our key partners in eyewear, took home the Export prize due to the high percentage of 3D-printed glasses they export outside of France. Their collaboration with Materialise has been part of a larger initiative to bring back eyewear manufacturing to Europe.
Last night found a well-dressed group of people from Materialise at an illustrious awards ceremony at the BOZAR, the Center for Fine Arts in Brussels. The reason why is that yesterday, Materialise was named the 2015 recipient of the Henry van de Velde Company Award! Accepting the award on behalf of Materialise – in front of a crowd of 1,300 people – was Founder and CEO, Wilfried Vancraen. Design Flanders has been presenting the Henry van de Velde Awards since 1994, with the award serving to confirm the high quality of the work produced and encouraging prize winners to continue to tread the path of experimentation and inventiveness in the creative sectors.
