Earlier this year, we took you behind the scenes to experience the innovation and design behind multi-award winning fashion designer Melinda Looi and Griffith University’s Samuel Canning's fully 3D-printed collection entitled “GEMS OF THE OCEAN” . This breathtaking collection not only captivated those in attendance for its debut at Meckler Media’s 3D Print Week New York, but has since been featured on both NBC’s TODAY Show and FOX News’ FOX & Friends.

In a TODAY show segment titled “Future fashion: 3D printed dresses, app alerts for discounts”, style expert Lilliana Vasquez, joins hosts Kathie Lee and Hoda to discuss the future of fashion and 3D-printed dresses. While speaking about innovative fashion, Lilliana features Melinda Looi’s 3D-printed full-length evening gown on air, explaining it was printed by Materialise. In a FOX & Friends segment titled “Is 3D printing the future of fashion?”, host Elisabeth Hasselbeck speaks with Natacha Alpert, a 3D Printing Expert and curator of NY's 3D Print Fashion Show, about how 3D printing is revolutionizing fashion. She features Melinda Looi's 3D printed evening gown, printed in one single part by Materialise and a hairpiece that was also printed by Materialise.
