Lost-Wax Casting
Lost-wax casting combines one of the oldest metal-forming techniques with 3D printing technology to create complex geometries in difficult-to-machine metals. Using an SLA-printed master, a plaster mold is created, into which the molten metal is poured. This method is ideal for creating decorative objects like one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry, miniatures, or sculptures.

Why work with Materialise Manufacturing?
Combining traditional lost-wax casting with cutting-edge 3D technology delivers the ultimate in creative expression. Our wide range of materials and finishes lets you create exceptional pieces that push the limits of design and meet the highest standards. For pieces in gold and silver, we have permission from the Royal Mint of Belgium to hallmark them with a master and purity stamp.
