Account Manager (Healthcare Market — Western/North America)

Are you a driven, personable, and results-oriented sales professional with a passion for healthcare innovation? Join our team at Materialise as a Sales Representative/Account Manager, where you’ll play a vital role in growing our presence in the orthotic and medical device market across North America. In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring new customers, managing existing relationships, and driving revenue growth. You’ll work closely with internal teams to deliver excellent service and tailored solutions to healthcare practitioners. This is a remote/hybrid role with occasional travel for tradeshows and customer meetings.

What you will do

  • Identify, develop, and convert new sales leads through effective prospecting and relationship-building
  • Manage and grow an existing portfolio of healthcare customers, ensuring high satisfaction and retention
  • Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets aligned with company objectives
  • Maintain accurate sales activity records and lead status using CRM tools
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and leadership to ensure alignment and optimize the customer journey
  • Represent Materialise at trade shows and industry events; travel up to 30% of the time is required 
  • Our products and services support healthcare professionals, including:
    • Podiatrists 
    • Chiropractors 
    • Physical therapists 
    • Chiropodists 
    • Orthotists 
    • O&P professionals

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field (e.g., kinesiology or similar)
  •  Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in orthotics or medical device sales

Key skills and competencies

  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in the medical or healthcare industry
  • Strong ability to build rapport quickly and maintain long-term client relationships
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Proficient in managing the full sales cycle, including lead qualification, follow-up, and deal closure
  • CRM proficiency (e.g., Salesforce or equivalent)
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a home-office setting
