Global IT Director

What you will do

  • You set the strategy and objectives of both the global IT organization and the nearshore software development organization thereby optimizing some operating model choices already made
  • You are end responsible for the (increase of) operational excellence of both the organizations from an end-to-end perspective; you benchmark those as a whole to ensure it is right-scaled, lean, performant and operational, and cost-efficient
  • You proactively support business innovation, business growth, and increased customer value
  • You develop high-level plans in light of internal work needs and operating units’ approved projects
  • You are in control of all related budgets: the creation of the yearly budget, monitoring the budget execution, and budget reporting
  • You oversee the technology landscape and ensure that the related technology portfolio is in line with business requirements and can provide a competitive advantage
  • You keep a close watch on the changing technology market trends and advise on how to use these technologies to the business advantage
  • You execute vendor and contract management

Your profile

  • Proven as IT Director or similar managerial roles (10+ years of experience)
  • A strong business and strategic mindset, customer-oriented
  • Well-established budget insights and responsibility
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills, able to drive the organization through change
  • Solid technology management experience and technology background and up-to-date with advancements in those fields
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Superior communication and interpersonal abilities; ability to adapt communication style from C-level to technical staff
  • Superior people management skills including talent development
  • Cloud/Saas experience
  • International travel is not an issue
