Process R&D Intern
In this internship position, you will complete a technical and economical evaluation of additive manufacturing for novel medial implants.
What you will do
- The aim of this internship is to evaluate the technical and business potential of two new implant types. The technical evaluation will consist of a geometrical and mechanical evaluation of representative test samples. The economic evaluation will consist of cost calculations for the full process which will be compared to the cost of standard manufacturing methods.
- The intern will work in the Medical Process R&D team but will communicate to different stakeholders going from product developers to process engineers. As such the intern will be exposed to a great environment to learn more about the role of additive manufacturing in the medical device industry.
