Job description

Materialise Medical pioneers many leading medical applications using 3D printing and enables researchers, engineers, and clinicians to revolutionize personalized treatments that help improve and save lives. Today, we develop and offer a comprehensive range of patient-specific surgical guides and implants to a growing and diversifying global customer base. For each patient, our Medical Services team transforms MRI/CT images into a 3D model and successful plan, resulting in patient-specific guide and implant designs using in-house-developed software solutions. Our Medical Production team turns design into reality using various 3D printing and post-processing techniques, after which detailed quality inspection, final cleaning, and packaging take place. As a member of the process engineering team, you will enjoy close cooperation with stakeholders from operational, development, product, and research teams. Through involvement in a variety of activities and projects, we set up a growth trajectory in which you can shape your future at Materialise.

What you will do

  • Identify, define, and implement process improvements following medical quality standards on the documentation and validation of your work. Data collected in both validation and operational settings allow you to continuously improve the operational quality and efficiency of our processes.
  • Maintain existing validation programs and complete new equipment, product, and process validations. Translate this into operational success by providing the right process documentation (work instructions), operator training, and support.

Your profile

  • You have a master's degree in engineering or equivalent through experience;
    a first experience with process improvements is considered a plus.
  • The use of patient-specific design and 3D printing as key parts of a global supply chain sparks your curiosity; you have a strong interest in the medical devices industry.
