Process R&D Intern

Selective laser melting (SLM) is a powder-based additive manufacturing technique. A laser sequentially fuses metal powder particles layer by layer to create a final 3D-printed part according to the input CAD file. This process allows high design freedom and is increasingly used in the medical sector.

To enable mass customization and reduce overall production costs, the selective laser melting process can be optimized by reducing scrap rates, reducing raw material usage, and increasing production capacity.
