Medical Innovation Engineer

As an Innovation Engineer, you will use your technical competences in software research and development with a strong desire to advance new product creation together with key customers. You will be the point of contact for our partner clinicians during the technical communication and software development processes. You are driven to listen to our customers, distill the very essence of what they need, and create the minimal version of solutions yourself.

What you will do

  • Advance the innovation program for a new medical software product built on a solid foundation and software platform
  • Develop software prototypes, demonstrators, and minimally viable products in the space of extended reality
  • Engage with the software development team to bring your developments into the development roadmap and introduce them into our product portfolio
  • Engage with key healthcare customers for the prioritization of their needs and set up projects that prove that the solutions you develop will fit their needs in a sustainable way
  • Support commercial activities with a thorough understanding of the technology and its opportunities for the future

Your profile

  • A can-do attitude and entrepreneurial drive that will move things along and make them work
  • Technical competences in software engineering or development that allow you to translate customer needs into working prototypes yourself. Experience with Python, C#, and Unity is highly appreciated.
  • A passion for innovation in medical applications and initial experience in communicating with key opinion leaders in the healthcare industry
  • Strong communication skills, allowing you to comfortably mingle with colleagues and customers for a global product offering in a multidisciplinary medical environment
  • A critical mindset, supported by research competences, which allows you to make decisions that are rooted in a profound understanding of the opportunities and challenges you encounter. Demonstratable research experience is highly appreciated.
  • A resilient personality that allows you to cope with the uncertainty and complexity that every innovator in the healthcare space experiences daily
