Materialise USA has an opening for a Junior Accountant. In this position you will assist the Controller and Accounting Manager in month-end duties, sales tax responsibilities, and general ledger and subledger management of accounts assigned.

What you will do

  • Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Assist in sales invoicing, posting cash and clearing accounts receivables.
  • Manage the sales tax reconciliation utilizing and maintaining the state websites, Avalara tax, and customer tax exempt certifications.
  • Produce error-free journal entries, account reconciliations, and reports.
  • Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
  • Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
  • Support month-end and year-end close process.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards (i.e. US GAAP, IFRS), rules, regulations, and systems of internal control (i.e. Sox, financial, tax)
  • Aid in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Provide accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement improvements to processes.
  • Assist with and act as the primary point-of-contact for auditor requests for assigned controls.
  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
