IT Service Desk Engineer

Based in our Leuven office, you will have responsibilities as a Workplace Support Service Desk Engineer with a focus on internal end-user support.

What you will do

  • You provide first-level IT support for end-user and workplace-related matters
  • You will manage support requests and incidents in a professional and timely manner, taking corporate guidelines and frameworks into account
  • You will be responsible for operational activities regarding the preparation and provisioning up to decommissioning (Lifecycle) of Materialise-owned workplaces (Windows-based and sporadically macOS devices)
  • Device reception and registration in the current asset database
  • Device preparation (“staging”) using the current staging platform
  • Device provisioning to its new “owner” (onboarding, device replacements), including basic usage guidance
  • Reporting on asset management by using the current AM tools (Ivanti Service Manager, Lansweeper, MS SCCM)
  • Device support (logical) and case monitoring for hardware repairs
  • Device removal in line with the current Standard Operating Procedures (compliance)
  • You will provide first-level support on our standard user-facing services (Microsoft365, Windows 10 and onward, mobile devices, …)
  • You will provide basic user account services (Active Directory, Azure AD, …)
  • Project assistance on a local level as well as internationally

Your profile

  • Above all, you are customer oriented and a team player who likes to share his/her knowledge with others 
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent through experience
  • You are a dynamic and highly motivated IT enthusiast with experience in IT workplace support
  • You have a working knowledge of typical IT tools (AD, …)
  • You are familiar with Office 365 administration
  • You have a decent understanding of network (LAN, WAN) technology
  • You have a good working knowledge of common ITSM environments
  • You are fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • You have strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • You are a proactive problem solver with a hands-on approach
  • You will not hesitate to propose and coordinate improvement initiatives
