Fullstack Developer (Front-end-Focused)


We are looking for a talented and passionate Fullstack Developer — focused on front-end development but with the desire to help with back-end tasks (.Net) — to join Materialise and grow our community in Spain. You will join our Motion team and will help to make this world a better and healthier place.

What you will do

Front-end development (80%):

  • Lead front-end initiatives: take charge of designing and developing user-facing features using React.js and TypeScript, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
  • Code quality and best practices: write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Implement modern features and adhere to best practices.
  • API integration: seamlessly integrate front-end components with backend APIs.
  • Mentorship: provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering their growth and development within the team.

Back-end development (20%):

  • Develop and maintain RESTful API: using ASP.NET Core.

Your profile

  • Senior-level expertise in front-end development with a clear passion for front-end technologies is required
  • Proficiency with modern JavaScript features and syntax
  • React.js: Deep understanding of React fundamentals (components, state, props, lifecycle methods), experience with hooks
  • Proficiency with Redux for state management
  • TypeScript
  • Experience with testing frameworks like Jest and React Testing Library
  • Performance optimization (techniques for optimizing React applications)
  • Integrating with APIs
  • Next.js (will be a plus)
  • Middle-level expertise in .NET backend development is required
  • Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core
  • Understanding of middleware, dependency injection, and LINQ
  • Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., JWT, OAuth2, OpenID Connect)

Plus points

  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
  • Cloud services (experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP)
