DevOps Lead Engineer


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Lead Engineer to lead our DevOps team and drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our DevOps practices. As a key member of our technology leadership team, the DevOps Lead Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing our software development lifecycle, ensuring seamless collaboration between development and operations teams, and optimizing our infrastructure for efficiency and scalability. 

What you will do

  • Provide strategic leadership in the design and implementation of DevOps processes and practices
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align DevOps initiatives with overall business objectives
  • Develop and communicate a clear vision for the DevOps team and its contributions to the organization
  • Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Set performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and support professional development
  • Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure DevOps solutions that meet current and future organizational needs
  • Oversee the integration of automation tools and technologies to streamline development and deployment processes
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to facilitate rapid and reliable delivery of software 
  • Ensure the automation of testing, deployment, and monitoring processes to minimize manual intervention
  • Optimize cloud and on-premises infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness
  • Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) practices to enable consistent and repeatable infrastructure deployments
  • Establish and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of applications and infrastructure
  • Develop incident response plans and lead the response to critical incidents, minimizing downtime and impact on users

Your profile

  • Bachelor's or an advanced degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
  • Proven experience (5 years) in a DevOps leadership role with a track record of successful implementation of DevOps practices
  • Agile/Scrum mindset  
  • Expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Strong background in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Shell, Ansible)
  • In-depth knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitLab CI)
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform) and configuration management tools
