Data Engineer — AWS
Materialise is the reference in 3D printing software. In this role, you'll develop a critical component of Materialise's CO-AM software portfolio, which provides a solution for large data storage and enhanced data correlation of 3D printing data sets. The system should be very reliable and performant to be used by our existing highly demanding customers (such as customers from the aerospace industry).
What you will do
- Be a key person developing (ingestion, writing ETL scripts, deployment pipelines,...) a commercial data lake product
- Support data scientists with data preparation and deployment
- Contribute to data lake applications and enable new AI applications
- Provide maintenance and support for the production environments by resolving urgent requests on time
- Deliver a production-ready stable system
- Be part of a small-/medium-sized international (Ukraine and Belgium) and multi-disciplinary product team (data scientists, back-end developers, test engineers, DevOps engineers)
Your profile
- Extensive experience with cloud technology (incl. AWS Glue, S3, Athena,...)
- Extensive experience with business intelligence solutions and SQL
- Good experience with ETL/orchestration/data pipeline tools
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform,...)
- Experience in Azure DevOps, Git, and Gitflow Workflow is an asset
- Technical understanding of data architectures and data warehousing principles
- Working knowledge of Python
- At least a bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related technical field
- Practical, hands-on mindset and ability to work independently
- Good communication skills
- Strong team player
- English: professional working proficiency (to collaborate in writing and verbally with English-speaking stakeholders)
