Are you an experienced Account Manager or Business Development professional with proven success building relationships with executives at high-profile organizations?  Do your customers view you as a trusted advisor and industry expert?  If yes, then we have an opportunity for you as our Key Account Manager on the Materialise USA Software Sales Team.  Materialise has an industry leading reputation for providing cutting-edge products and solutions to established 3D printing equipment manufacturers.  As Materialise and the additive manufacturing industry continue to grow, we require an experienced professional to work with our key accounts and support our sales efforts of additive manufacturing software.

Primary Responsibilities

  • The Key Account Manager builds strong, long-lasting relationships with important stakeholders of key accounts.  He/she masters the key accounts’ industry and understands how 3D printing plays a role within that industry.  The Key Account Manager develops a trusted advisor role and regularly collaborates with high-profile customers on long term strategy as it pertains to 3D printing, design, and manufacturing to meet the current and future needs of both the customer and Materialise. 
  • Through a deep understanding of the customer organization, their strategy and their decision making unit, the Key Account Manager is able to develop meaningful compelling value propositions.  The Key Account Manager grows the account from a transactional relationship to a co-creating integrated business relationship.
  • The Key Account Manager develops and maintains actionable Key Account Plans to drive strategic activities with key accounts.
  • He/she detects and develops a mid-long term pipeline of strategic projects leading to specific opportunities with our current or future solution portfolio. 
  • The Key Account Manager works with members of our existing team of sales and technical professionals to support key accounts across regions within US sales territory. 



  • Bachelor’s Degree required, concentration in business or engineering preferred.
  • Five (5) years’ experience in technical sales with a proven track record of success working with executive-level customers; experience selling 3D printers, CAD, CAM, CNC-Control or other technical software preferred.
  • Strong networking skills with the ability to secure C-Suite and executive-level meetings.
  • Proven success coaching a global account team in a matrix organization across regional boarders. 
  • You have experience to communicate the vision of the team and the organization in a compelling matter encouraging others to succeed
  • Effective problem-solver with the ability to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly-expanding customer base.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to speak comfortably in front of large audiences and converse with high-profile clients.
  • Highly organized and analytical.
  • Knowledge of additive manufacturing/3D printing preferred.

Travel: 30%

Location: Plymouth, MI  

This is a full time, exempt position in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with competitive salary and benefits.  Assistance for relocation and/or visa sponsorship is not available.
