We are looking for a talented and passionate Functional Analyst to join Materialise.

  • 3+ years of experience in Functional Analysis and translating business requirements into a detailed specification
  • Strong research/analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to gather, analyze and document information clearly and efficiently
  • Capable of evaluating trade-offs in decision-making and prioritization in a fast paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
  • Experience in converting outlines, notes and drafts into logical and properly formatted instructional procedure and/or specification documentation
  • Fluent English
  • Experience working with global teams
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organization skills
  • Aptitude for solving qualitative and quantitative problems
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity


  • Work with various departments throughout the organization to understand needs and determine requirements for various project initiatives and client deliverables
  • Research and manage knowledge around system building concepts, technical architecture and application quality assurance. 
  • Interpret business requirements, determine feasibility, and work in concert with Product Management and Scrum Teams to support implementation through technology and automation
  • Ensure completeness and feasibility of functional specifications 
  • Analyze data and problems related to operations to continuously support system improvements
  • Provide ongoing support for internal product users, resolving issues, explaining processes and empowering the team with knowledge
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff
  • Develop, communicate and train users on guidelines, methods and procedures for new products, services or programs
