As Senior Account Manager, you will be responsible for pro-actively establishing, maintaining and growing profitable business relationships with our customer in line with the overall sales and business strategy, working as part of a team, the main focus being:

  • You map the current and possible business at the client.
  • You keep track of the client’s strategy, mainly focused on 3DP activities.
  • You develop the sales pipeline and lead the sales opportunities.
  • You take responsibility for sales pipeline development objectives and revenue targets.
  • You develop profitable, stable and long-term relations with our key client.
  • You define and execute lead generation strategies to reach new business.
  • You use consultative selling skills to address new potential customers at the client, you uncover their needs and you develop relevant business solutions.
  • You are main actor in negotiations and complex discussions.
  • You manage complex sales processes involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • You have experience in managing, negotiating intricate contracts. You can read them and translate into deliverables for internal organization.
  • You create a strong internal network to align requirements of new business projects in pipeline.
  • You align with product management to explore feasibility, market relevance (opportunities, threats, trends) and market intelligence, cost, internal capacity, capabilities and fit with strategic focus. 
  • You have responsibility to oversee the process to come to a contract, respecting the agreed upon terms.
  • You make sure the current partner contract is respected, and initiating corrective actions where needed. 
  • You represent Materialise in various customer events and industry forums.


  • You hold a degree in business, engineering or other relevant studies.
  • You own 8-10 years’ experience in Account Management within the medical devices industry, knowhow of the orthopedics market is an advantage.
  • You have a partnership mindset, you can easily network and build relationships based on trust.
  • You have a proficient knowledge of English is essential, any other language is an asset.
  • Your analytical skills are top notch and you combine this with a meticulous approach with a high level of attention for detail.
  • You are able to communicate with people from different levels, both internally and externally, with excellent listening, coaching and presentation skills.
  • You own a proven track record in stakeholder management.
  • You have well established sales empathy skills and the ability to identify with and understand the customer’s situation, feelings and motives.
  • You have the willingness to exceed our customer’s expectations.
  • You are an entrepreneur, a self-starter and you have the ability to work autonomously.
