We’re looking for a skilled engineer with experience in applying machine learning to medical image applications to join our team at our beautiful modern headquarters in Leuven as a Research Engineer in Machine Learning. In this role, you will use your prior knowledge of the medical device field and strong coding skills to develop new algorithms and infrastructure suitable for 2D and 3D medical image processing for use in our software.

Qualifications & Experience
Develop machine learning/deep learning algorithms and infrastructure for 2D and 3D medical imaging applications
Develop and support the maintenance of the software prototyping framework used by the research team
Keep up with the latest deep learning and big data analysis techniques as they apply to medical imaging
Apply lean prototyping and work on feasibility studies
As a qualified candidate for this position, you are:
Educated to a Masters or PhD level in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Experienced with machine learning/deep learning for medical image processing
Analytical by nature, with the ability to diagnose complex problems
Pragmatic and flexible in approach – you use the right techniques to provide the needed quality and detail while avoiding complex solutions
A strong coder skilled in Python or C++, able to quickly prototype
add_circle Experience using established libraries such as Tensorflow is an asset.
