Qualifications & Experience
As a purchase assistant you are energized by ensuring a structured and highly efficient purchase to pay process. Completing and maintaining purchases for goods and services is part of your daily responsibilities: you verify purchase requests, you place and follow-up on purchase orders, order confirmations, on time deliveries and reception of services. You enjoy working with suppliers and the business and have a natural commercial flair to maintain positive, long-term supplier relations. You look pro-actively for opportunities how to improve or automate the administration processes and reporting within purchasing. You will be working closely with different departments in the Materialise organization f.e. production, legal, quality, finance etc. As part of corporate support you will be in contact with colleagues from various countries and different sites. You are the go-to person for the business in terms of procurement processes, policies & procedures.
Finance and numbers do not scare you. You are able to manage invoices fluently and you have a solid communication with the accounting department. You support your procurement colleagues in the preparation of cost analysis. Depending the requests you are able to conduct supplier research and selection to cut costs and enhance profitability or efficiency on local purchases. Overall you are a problem solver with a preference to applying or adjusting existing practices. You have attention to detail and a hands-on approach. Optimized administration is part of your preferred way of working: you can manage and maintain different procurement databases, quality documentation and complaint follow-up.

- Bachelors’ degree or similar through experience
- Min. 1 year experience
- Pro-active and analytical thinker
- Strong organization and documentation skills

- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
- Experienced in working in ERP f.e. SAP, MS Dynamics or similar
