If you could sum up your attitude in 10 characters, what would you say? With Bawsome, you can change your accessory into a statement with personalized eyewear. All you need to do is select your model, frame color (both temples and front), lens color and 10-character-long message.

Bawsome worked with Materialise’s Factory for 3D Printing to bring his idea to life. Bawsome Co-founder Matt Tymowski came up with the idea in his spare time after seeing 3D Printing’s potential for creating personlized objects.

“With eyewear, you can express your individuality, attitude and style front and center. It is hard not to notice something on someone’s face.”
Matt Tymowski, Bawsome Co-founder

Working with Materialise from co-creation to prototyping to creating an automated process for manufacturing the novel items, Matt was able to realize his dream and get his SME off the ground. Now at Materialise, the glasses are laser sintered, dyed, fully-assembled and sent through quality control’s strict check... ..so that they look like this:

The 3D-printed eyewear made their grand debut at CES. Visitors were enthusiastic to take a look and wear them at our booth.
