Template Support Engineer

Materialise OrthoView is a software solution used by orthopaedic surgeons to identify key measurements and implant specifications prior to joint replacement surgery with many other clinical modules. We are looking for a Template Support Engineer who will develop Orthopaedic Templates according to clinically regulated standards in our Kyiv office.

What you will do

  • Analyze and interpret orthopaedic manufacturers' drawings and derive appropriate drawings and metadata to represent the prosthesis such that OrthoView can represent the manufacturers' intentions
  • Own, design, and implement Orthopaedic Templating processes, methodologies, protocols, and scenarios in a manner conformant to company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Review designs and implementations of other templating engineers
  • Work closely with the development team to coordinate the timely release of templates to their specification
  • Manage relationships with Template Manufacturers to obtain data and information
  • Provide input and feedback to the development team with regards to any OrthoView code changes which affect the templating workflow process
  • Responsible for template final release acceptance for distribution of templates to the market
  • Gather appropriate statistics for management to make informed market decisions
  • Provide support to customers and the OrthoView support team

Your profile

  • At least 1+ year experience in CAD software
  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in the engineering field
  • Demonstrated understanding of the importance of quality — including good design practices, understanding of the importance of process, documentation, and testing
  • A strong team ethic and desire to succeed
  • Customer-oriented thinking
  • Knowledge of best practices of CAD engineering techniques
  • A challenging and enquiring mind
  • Attention to detail and tenacity
  • Strong communication skills
  • Advanced level of English
