Vacuum casting: Technical specifications
Standard lead time:
Up to 10 copies within 10 days.
Standard accuracy:
Standard tolerance level ±0.3 %, with a minimum tolerance of ±0.3 mm on dimensions smaller than 100mm.
Minimum wall thickness:
To ensure proper filling of the mould, a wall thickness of at least 0.5mm is necessary. Best results are obtained with a wall thickness of at least 1.5mm.
Maximum dimensions:
The size of the mould is limited by the dimensions of the vacuum chamber (1900 x 900 x 750mm) and by the volume of the product (maximum volume: 10 litres).
Typical quantities:
Up to 25 copies per mould (depending on the mould's complexity and the casting materials).
Surface structure:
High surface finishing quality comparable to injection moulding.
Special applications:
Inserts, 2 component products.
