Registrations for Mimics Innovation Awards 2008 have been closed.

Try your luck for the next edition. Registration for the 2009 edition will start again in August. The winners of the 2008 edition have been announced at the Medical Innovations Conference in Vienna, Austria, May 30-31. You can read their cases here.

Materialise rewards top level research with 17,500€

Many researchers use Mimics for processing, editing and segmenting their scanner data. Materialise is proud that Mimics' powerful, user-friendly design has lifted so many interesting projects to a higher level. The Mimics Innovation Awards support top level research conducted with the assistance of Mimics.

Four categories of participation include:

• Innovative implant design systems and the development of innovative medical procedures (5,000€ prize)
• Innovations in computer aided engineering (e.g. image based FEA, CFD,... - 5,000€ prize)
• Open category (e.g. archaeology, industrial applications, veterinary case,... - 5,000€ prize)
• Poster category* (open category - 2,500€ prize)

*Case studies participating in the poster category can only be submitted in poster format.

Participants are invited to send in any research case, published or unpublished. An independent, international jury, composed of experts in advanced 3D medical image processing, thoroughly evaluates each paper based on pre-defined criteria and selects the most innovative cases.  

Registration for the Mimics Innovations Awards 2009 will start in August. The application form and the regulations will be provided on this site soon.
