3-matic is advanced STL manipulation software, available in 3 different packages and designed to act as a modular system that can be tailored to your individual needs. Every packages can be combined with the different 3-matic modules into a solution that offers all the tools for powerful STL-based applications, such as
- Repair of scan data
- Reverse engineering
- Creation, repair and optimisation of files to interface with CAE

3-matic packages
3-matic Fixing
3-matic Fixing is the most basic package and allows to visualize and fix files, via marking, Boolean operations, global editing, creation of primitives and dedicated fixing operations, including a fix wizard.
3-matic CAE
3-matic CAE is a package optimized for pre-processing your files towards CAE applications. Besides all functionality of 3-matic Fixing it also offers basic CAD-operations and analyses tools. Furthermore a complete remesh module is available that allows to fully prepare your parts for CAE applications. Via different manual and automatic remesh operations, that control the quality and size of the part’s triangulation, the surface mesh is optimized and can be directly exported to Fluent, Ansys, Abaqus, Patran or Nastran file format.
3-matic Design
This package contains, besides the functionality of 3-matic Fixing, all tools to successfully do a design change, a corrective redesign, design …all on STL level. It contains a sketcher, CAD functions, and curves, together with tools to manage the mesh of the part (including morphing functions), to measure and to segment the part. Analysis tools are available to analyze curvature, wall thickness, … or to compare parts (both STL or converted from CAD)
