Prototyping solutions

Prototypes for visual presentations

Start marketing way before your product is ready

Prototypes are looking more like the end product these days. Have you got a sharp enough eye for detail to tell the difference?

You can use your prototypes as high-class photoshoot models, which means that you create a competitive advantage by starting your marketing campaign without having to wait for the end products.

The most suitable technologies for one-shot or small series of visual models are:

Stereolithography

Aesthetic prototype, finished with high gloss paint, including very small details (sculpture of 3D bath & shower gel bottle for Adimex)

The stereolithography technology is ideal to produce single prototypes for visual, aesthetic testing.

The models can be finished smoothly in whatever colour or texture you have in mind. We have our own paint and lacquer facility, offering all RAL colours, all operated by skilled people. Also carbon fibre look or wood-like finishes are possible.

In particular, products which have very small details and complex geometries are easily built with stereolithography.

Materialise 3-matic software allows us to handle the designing of a logo pattern automatically (screwdriver prototype for Skil)

By using our in-house developed software 3-matic, we are able to create life-like prototypes by automatically applying patterns, logos or perforations on the design.
In this way, we can provide you with an exact representation of your end product through a perfect integration of a brand name or logo patterns with your prototype model.

Vacuum casting

Vacuum cast prototype, which was used for a professional photoshoot in order to prepare all marketing material in time for the release of the final product (Prio sander for Bosch)

When you need a small series of plastic components to introduce your product to the market it is more cost-effective to turn to the vacuum casting technology.

The polyurethane materials that are used ensure that the prototypes have the same characteristics as the real end product. These 3D copies are the ideal tools to increase the effectiveness of aesthetic research.
Moreover, they allow people with various (also non-technical) backgrounds to actively participate in the final look of a product.
