How to use Reduction Guides

To be entirely sure that you don't take too much or too little bone away, your ridge reduction can be guided!

To order the reduction guide online, check the "reduction guide" checkbox in the order wizard.

Design Note:

Once you have positioned the implants, our designers have enough information to produce the guide. Our designers will concieve the guide as such that the bone is reduced bearing in mind the height of the implant that needs to be surrounded by bone.

This height is indicated by the white dots around the selected implant in SimPlant. Note that this height is not necessarily the occlusal plane of the implant.

Usage Note:

To avoid chipping off the guide, it is advised that the guide is used for marking only. Once the cutting path is delineated on the bone, the guide comes off and the reduction is made following the delineation on the bone.
