Get accurate digital replicas of your physical parts
We offer optical and technical CT scanning (from micro to high voltage technical CT) to digitise your physical parts. Our extensive know-how allows us to select the scanning equipment and parameters that provide the most optimal price/quality solution for your projects.
Save weeks in geometry healing and reconstruction
As the experts in data handling and healing, we can easily fix, modify or reconstruct all native and non-native CAD data, or scan data and CFD/FEA meshes. By applying a combination of Materialise software products, holes, missing geometry, double triangles or self-intersections will no longer hinder your progress, saving enormous amounts of time.

Modify designs directly on faceted data
Employing the forward engineering concept, the Materialise services team uses software that allows direct design on faceted data. This means that we can directly modify meshes generated from scans or FEA/CFD without going through the process of reverse engineering the part, saving time and boosting accuracy.
On any type of geometrical data, we can apply design changes such as:
• Design & shape optimisation
• Design of missing parts
• Midplane generation
• Wrapping / defeaturing
• Design changes (Wall thickness changes, adding and removing features such as ribs,…)
• Controllable part deformations
Easily prepare your models and obtain accurate FEA/CFD results
Using the 3-matic remesher we developed in-house, we can prepare your models for FEA/CFD projects, by supplying high quality surface or volume meshes. The input can vary from CAD, older or other purpose FEA/CFD meshes, STL data to scan data. Extensive CAD assemblies can be wrapped or defeatured to allow mesh generation. By wrapping multiple parts, you can combine them and take out all unnecessary details, which greatly facilitates FEA/CFD. We also provide complete FEA/CFD solutions for your projects.
Modify your faceted data by converting it to CAD data Reverse engineering is the process of converting faceted data into CAD data, which can then be modified in CAD packages. The standard output format that we provide is IGES. If you need to modify your faceted data in a CAD package, we can easily convert it to IGES.

Materialise’ Engineering Services offer you a shortcut to FEA and CFD, particularly when you are dealing with complex geometries, such as large CAD assemblies or scan data. Faceted data no longer poses a problem to your analysis. We can easily remesh and modify faceted data, including Boolean operations, wrapping and defeaturing. You won’t need time-consuming, error-prone reverse engineering steps to achieve outstanding results.
